HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!!!

Sooooooooooo… I know it’s been a while. A lot has happened since my last post. I figured since we are stepping into a new year, it’d be a wonderful time to catch up and share my reflections and share what I have coming up for 2026. Buckle up guys, we are in for a long one today. I’ve been gone for almost nine months you guys saw this coming. lol >.<

Let’s start with reflection.

I started 2025 off with a transition and moving up at my day job. I ended 2025 the same way. I was transferred to a new department and I am happier and content. I am more comfortable in this new department because I have previous experience in the area. I can actually thrive in this department and be treated as a leader and encouraged to grow and make decisions. Things have gotten better and people can tell. Honestly the best part of this new transition is seeing that everything I ever said was completely right. I carried that team. I feel vindicated. (hehehe see what I did there?)

I just found it interesting.

Now on to the fun stuff!

Drum roll please!!!! *drum roll*

I AM OFFICIALLY ONE YEAR OLD! On July 9, 2025 my debut novel officially turned one year old. Everyone clap with me! One year of being on this author journey. I am still in a state of shock. Little Charnaye would most likely cry from seeing the way this all turned out. I’s been a year of challenges, growth, being completely lost at times and a whole lot of hope and faith. I stepped out on faith and decided to do one book club appearance and 3 large scale in person events for my first year. I went to North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Texas. Each experience taught me something new.

I learned how to handle setbacks when your books don’t arrive because of shipping issues like weather or the holidays. Or simply because there was some random thing you forgot. (Even when you made a damn list!) I learned how important an author wagon was. I learned how important it was to have a PA. (Thank you to my mommy for being my PA!) I learned exactly how stressful this can be and how hard traveling for business with ADHD and anxiety can be. I’ve learned that hard work really does pay off. I learned that the love you put into something will show up in what you do. It won’t feel like work. It’ll feel right. Your spirit will know.

2025 was a hell of a year. A scary year. An unsure year. A trying year. BUT, in spite of it all, 2025 was a beautiful year.

I look forward to this new year because I have so much to share with you all. So many new things to share with you all. Some WIPS. Some new visions and missions. Some updates. Some exciting news. ;)

Stay tuned friends. The year is just getting started.
